That top-end performance is thanks to its Stiga ST 600 engine; a 586cc, four-stroke key-start motor, which blends OHV technology with a V-Twin cylinder arrangement for smooth, high-torque operation with outstanding long-term reliability, reduced fuel costs and a substantial cut in noise and carbon emissions.
The Mountfield 1738H Garden Tractor can either collect, mulch or rear-discharge cut grass, with mulching ideal for short-grassed formal areas, and rear-discharge perfect for dealing with grass that’s too long to bag or mulch.
It’s blessed with a foot-pedal hydrostatic drive that facilitates infinitely variable ground-speed control, which in turn allows for safe and accurate obstacle negotiation, and it combines an LED dashboard with a diagnostic display to ensure you’ll always be on top of tractor status and key parameters.
Not just a grass cutter, the Mountfield 1738H can be paired with the included tow bar, which means you’ll be able get the most from your purchase all year round, not just during the growing season.
High-powered twin headlamps make it possible to carry on working when the light’s against you; a heavy-duty bumper protects the front end from any accidental impact.
The 98cm, twin-blade cutter deck on the Mountfield 1738H Rear-Collect V-Twin Garden Tractor is equipped with a wash port, which makes it easy to clean clumped, corrosive clippings from the undercarriage.
Convenience features include electronic blade engagement and reverse mowing; comfort features include an adjustable seat, a soft-grip steering wheel and a cup holder.
You’ll also get a 300-litre grass collector, which is one of the largest to be found on any 98cm tractor mower; and a mow-in-reverse function, which cuts mowing time, as you’ll be able to back-up while keeping the blades engaged.
