If you’re a landscape contractor, smallholder or estate manager looking for a practical and convenient way to keep paddocks, pasture and other informal areas in check, then the Meccanica Benassi MF 226 Scythe Mower could well be the machine for you!
It’s fitted with an extra-wide – and therefore highly productive – 112cm scythe blade, which will take long, thick grass, heavy scrub, long-established bramble and even small saplings in its stride.
The Meccanica Benassi MF 226 Scythe Mower is powered by a very high-performance 196cc Honda GX200 engine. Thanks to its overhead-valve design, this four-stroke, commercial-grade unit offers outstanding fuel economy, quiet, smooth running operation and reduced exhaust emissions.
A forged-steel crankshaft and a cast-iron cylinder sleeve combine with a dual-element air filter to ensure you’ll get years of unfailing service from the engine.
Thanks to its independently driven wheels, the Meccanica Benassi MF 226 Scythe Mower is capable of performing zero-turn manoeuvres, so it’s ideal for use on areas with awkward corners that would be too difficult to negotiate with a garden tractor or ride-on mower.
There are two forward speeds and two reverse, so you can select the most effective speed for the task in hand, and will be able to back-up where necessary.
For optimum user comfort, this model has a height adjustable handlebar, which is isolated from engine vibration, and which conveniently incorporates all the main controls (the handlebar is also reversible).
An array of attachments is available for the Meccanica Benassi MF 226 Scythe Mower, including tools for cultivation, snow clearance and sweeping. You won’t need tools to switch attachments.
