Powering it is a Stiga ST 140 Autochoke engine; a 139cc four-stroke unit, which, thanks to its overhead-valve configuration, offers low-emission operation with reduced fuel consumption and less noise.
A roomy 0.75-litre fuel tank works with the engine’s fuel efficient design to ensure plenty of ground can be covered between top-up breaks; while Stiga's recoil-starter technology makes achieving ignition a straightforward, stress-free operation.
The Mountfield S421R-PD Petrol Rear-Roller Lawnmower gives the user the choice of five cutting-heights between 20-70mm, so you'll be able to achieve a nice low cut on formal lawn areas, at the same being able to tackle longer grass when needed (adjustments are made using a single lever).
It comes equipped with a high-capacity 55-litre grassbag, which combines with the capacious fuel tank to keep downtime to a minimum; and it’s fitted with collapsible handlebars, so you’ll have no trouble finding a space for it in the shed.
The self-propelled design of the Mountfield S421R-PD means its driven forward by the rear roller, thereby taking pretty much all of the effort out of maintaining your lawn. The full-width roller also means you can mow right along the edge of your lawn, and therefore won't have to tidy the borders with a strimmer or clippers afterwards.
The compact 41cm cutting-width on this model makes it perfect for small-medium lawns up to around 400m2.
