At the heart of the Mountfield MHT 50 Li Cordless Hedgetrimmer is a 48v lithium-ion battery (available separately) that works with a high-performance 420w electric motor to ensure you’ll enjoy performance-levels equivalent to – and in many cases better than – many dirty, noisy, tough-to-start petrol chainsaws in the same class.
The lengthy 58cm cutting-gear on the Mountfield MHT 50 Li Cordless Hedgetrimmer comprises a pair of dual reciprocating, hardened-steel blades that deliver super-clean results with none of the ‘chewing’ that can cause the plant to become infected and discoloured. The cutting-capacity is a sizeable 18mm.
So as to help you to achieve the safest and most ergonomic angle of attack for any given situation, Mountfield have equipped the MHT 50 Li with a three-stage adjustable rear handle, which rotates through 180°.
A blade-tip guard prevents blade damage when you’re trimming close to walls, pavements and other hard surfaces; while Mountfield’s provision of a hanging-hole means you’ll be able to maximise available space in your storage area.
This model’s one-charge runtime is an impressive 50 minutes (plus/minus 20%).
