Built for small urban, suburban and village gardens, the Spectrum TG36E is a lightweight, easy-going electric mower that delivers a clean, precise cut with low noise and next to no maintenance. It carries features you would normally expect on a pricier machine, so you get real quality without the petrol-mower price tag — or the fuel, fumes and pull-cord that come with it.

Driving it is a strong 1600W induction motor. Built for dependable performance and a long service life, it runs noticeably more quietly than a conventional brushed motor and, being mains-electric, produces zero exhaust emissions while asking almost nothing in the way of routine upkeep.

The 36cm cutting width is well judged for small and medium lawns, covering ground quickly while staying easy to steer around borders and beds. A single-lever height adjuster lets you drop or raise the deck across six positions from 20mm to 70mm in one quick movement — and that low 20mm minimum is among the closest cuts you will find on a rotary electric mower, ideal for a neat, closely cropped finish.

Clippings gather in a generous 40-litre hard-top collector that is light to lift, quick to remove and simple to empty, so you spend less time stopping and more time mowing. Ergonomic twin control levers give a secure, comfortable grip, and a safety blade brake stops the blade within seconds the moment you let go.

When you are finished, the upper handle folds down for compact storage and easier carrying, helped by a built-in carry handle, while large, smooth-rolling wheels keep the mower effortless to guide across the lawn. A generous 15-metre power cable gives plenty of reach around a smaller garden, often without the need for an extension lead, and the whole machine weighs just 13kg.
