That power is supplied by a high-output 48v lithium-ion battery cell that offers improved charge-times, runtimes and durability when set-against increasingly outmoded lead-acid and nickel-cadmium units; and which won’t lose any remaining charge when not in use.
A selection of batteries is offered - 2Ah; 4Ah; 5Ah - with the 2Ah model suggested for general use, and the two higher amp-hour units ideal where even longer runtimes are required.
The Stiga SAB 500 AE 48v Cordless Garden-Blower utilises a top-quality Stiga brushless motor, which will not only outlast comparable brushed motors, but also trumps them when it comes to torque and energy efficiency.
An axial turbine system produces a ferocious jet of air (123mph), which will shift grass clippings, hedge trimmings and leaves with ease; an optimised centre of gravity combines with an ultra-low-weight build (2.8kg) and reduced vibration-levels to ensure it scores highly when it comes to comfort and control.
Also featured is a magnesium transmission, which will prove incredibly hardwearing and durable; and convenient keypad control for easy adjustment of the air speed, and consequently, the battery drain rate.
