Powering it is a Honda GCVx170 engine; a professional-grade, 167cc four-stroke unit that develops an impressive 4.5hp (@ 2800rpm), and which employs the Japanese power giant’s fuel saving and emission minimising overhead-valve (OHV) technology.
Boasting a hybrid galvanised-steel/aluminium deck and robust aluminium fixture points, the Atco Liner 19SH V Petrol Lawnmower easily justifies the extended five-year manufacturer's warranty it carries for domestic use.
A heavy, ball-bearing-mounted roller at the rear will produce the classic stripe that’s so characteristic of the British lawn; single-lever cutting-height adjustment means it couldn’t be simpler to select the most effective blade setting (you can cut right down to 13mm, if you’re a fan of the close-cropped finish).
Thanks to its self-propelled drive – variable to suit conditions – the Atco Liner 19SH V Petrol Rear-Roller Lawnmower will take rolling terrain, rough grass and inclines in its stride.
It comes with an extra-roomy, 80-litre grass catcher, which is made from textile rather than plastic for space saving storage and transport; and it’s equipped with a hosepipe attachment point, which makes it quick and easy to remove any corrosive clippings accumulation from the underside of the deck.
Also featured is Atco’s Twinclip blade technology, whereby each blade of grass is cut and recut for more efficient bagging and therefore longer intervals between visits to the compost bin; and a heavy-duty, cone-clutch transmission, which ensures the maximum amount of torque reaches the wheels and blade.
This 48cm model is suitable for use across areas up to 1200m2 (one-third of an acre).
