The new-generation Stiga BC 700e Cordless Brushcutter provides the performance of a larger petrol machine but with none of the obvious drawbacks - noise, fumes, vibration and starting-headaches.
Supplying that petrol-matching power is a Stiga-designed 48v (4Ah) lithium-ion battery that trumps its nickel-cadmium competitors when it comes to runtime, charge-time and service-life; and which will hold any remaining charge when it’s not in use.
The Stiga BC 700e features a super-efficient brushless motor, which works to minimise battery drain-rate, in turn enabling up to 30 minutes of continuous strimming and brushcutting.
It’s equipped with a plant-protector, so you’ll be able to trim with confidence around and between shrubs and flowers; and it boasts a time-saving bump-feed mechanism that eliminates the need to attend directly to the cutter head when the cord has worn down.
Designed with comfort and longevity to the fore, the ‘loop’-handled Stiga BC 700e 48v Cordless Brushcutter has a quick-cooling magnesium transmission that won’t corrode, and helps to keep machine-weight down to an easily manageable 4.7kg (an aluminium alloy shaft contributes further to lightness and durability).
The battery and motor on this model have been ideally positioned to optimise the centre of gravity, thereby ensuring it offers the best possible control and manoeuvrability.
