At its core is a 48v lithium battery*, which has been developed and tested in-house by Stiga, with the resulting cells offering fast charge-times and extended run-times; and benefiting from the elimination of spontaneous discharge, which means they maintain their charge when not in use.
Thanks to its telescopic shaft and six-step pivoting cutter-bar, the Stiga SPH 700 AE 48v Battery Pole-Hedgetrimmer is flexible in use, and can be quickly adapted to hedge shape, hedge position and operator preference.
It boasts a lengthy 50cm blade set that's double-sided and laser-cut for a fast work-rate, superior edge-holding and bruise-free results; and it comes with a single shoulder harness, which ensures extended hedgetrimming sessions can be completed in comfort (the optional backpack battery harness will further enhance user comfort).
An extra-wide 34mm tooth pitch means the blades will slice quickly and cleanly through thick, woody growth; an intuitive electronic keypad puts speed control at your fingertips.
The motor and battery on this model are positioned to act as a perfect counterweight for optimum control and manoeuvrability.
