Supplying petrol-equivalent power is a 48v battery that employs latest-generation lithium battery technology. Lithium-based cells outperform less advanced lead-acid and ni-cad units on every level – they're much more durable; they offer quicker charge-times and substantially longer run-times; and they don't lose power as the charge drains.
The telescopic Stiga PS 700e 48v Battery Pole-Pruner measures 2.7m at full extension, thereby giving an average reach of around 4.4m, depending on the height of the operator.
It features side-screw chain tensioning, so routine, in-the-field maintenance couldn't simpler; and it combines a machine-weight of just 5.6kg with an optimised centre of gravity and a soft-grip handle to ensure superior operator-comfort.
The compact – and therefore easy to manage – 25cm cutting-gear on the Stiga PS 700e is kept continuously oiled, thanks to Stiga's provision of an automatic lubrication system.
Speed-control function and battery-status indicator are incorporated on a handy electronic keypad; bumper spikes give you purchase against the subject-branch.
