This heavy-duty rough-cut mower from Orec eschews the conventional rotary blade and instead employs rotor-mounted flail blades that will take long grass, overgrown brush and thick scrub in their stride!
Powering the rotor is a 196cc Honda GX200-Series engine that packs an impressive 5.8hp punch; and which boasts a transistorised ignition-system for dependable start-up at each time of asking.
Honda’s OHV technology cuts operating-temperature, which in turn extends motor-life; while a substantial 3.1-litre-capacity petrol tank works with the engine’s efficiency-optimised design to minimise the frequency and number of refuelling-stops.
Thanks to its deep-tread pneumatic tyres, independently disengageable wheel-drive, wide stance and low centre of gravity, the Orec HR531 Flail Mower is ideal for slope- and bank-work and offers excellent manoeuvrability on difficult terrain.
Highly versatile and able to be adapted to suit a variety of conditions, the HR531 boasts a four-speed transmission and features blade adjustment from 50mm all the way up to 100mm.
Also important on this 52cm model is the vertically adjustable handlebar that can be made comfortable for operators of any height.
